Our Baby (doll)

Okay, so this is gonna need some explaining. For those of you who know, Anderson is in a developmental therapy program. Well, we have certain things that we are working on with him but one thing that is on the list is preparing him for his baby brother. After discussing some ideas, the idea of getting a babydoll was thrown out there. Well, we took a trip to the store and with a lot of grumbling and protests from Joe about buying doll for his little boy, we finally made our way to the little girl toy section. After both of us looked at all the many dolls, totally baffled (mind you, I'm not a fan of little girl stuff), we finally found a boy-ish baby doll that makes baby noises. We thought it was a winner because it comes with a little puppy toy for the baby that barks. Since Anderson has Star, we thought they would atleast have that in common to start with.

Well, things have been good. It's really helping us explain things. We have Anderson help us put the baby in the swing and the bouncer. He even helps us put the baby to bed in the bassinett. We've had to explain to him that he's too big for the swing and the bassinett but I think it's getting through to him each day.

The best part:

Watching Joe walk around the apartment holding a baby doll and talking to it and treating it like a real baby. FUNNY!!!!
